Tatek Dejene joins the University of Valladolid as a PhD candidate since September 2014 under the sustainable forest management research institute in Palencia campus. During his stay in the university, he has been taking the pre doctoral courses and preparing his PhD study works in the area of diversity and productivity of ectomycorrhizal fungi in a tropical dry afro-montane natural forests Ecosystem in Ethiopia. Prior to joining the University of Valladolid, Tatek was an associate researcher in the Ethiopian Environment and forestry research institute (EEFRI). He had been working in Non timber forest research case team of the EEFRI and involved in different research activities that would assist the development, management and utilization of the forest resources of Ethiopia. He had been managing different research projects, including gum, resin and latex production projects, non timber forest resources management systems and propagation methods projects.
